May 16, 2012 – Oklahoma City, OK
The Oklahoma City Thunder scored 9 unanswered points to rally past the Los Angeles Lakers and win Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals by a score of 77-75.
The Lakers led most of the second half but were ultimately muzzled by the Thunder defense, as Oklahoma City’s offense woke up down the stretch. Kobe Bryant was just 9-for-25 and Andrew Bynum 8-for-19, both scoring 20 points for the Lakers, while Kevin Durant led all scoring with 22 points for the Thunder.
Great shots and tough defense put the Thunder in a 2-0 game advantage as the best-of-7 series moves to Los Angeles. This nailbiter comes on the heels of a Thunder blowout, 119-90 in Game 1.
