May 15, 2012 – Phoenix, AZ
Jeff Carter scored three times in a 4-0 victory for the Los Angeles Kings over the Phoenix Coyotes. A mid-season acquisition from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Carter has added an offensive punch that was sorely lacking. It was the first hat trick for the Kings since 1993.
The Kings lead the series 2-0 in this best of seven semifinals.
Carter played six seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers at the start of his career but was traded amid acrimony with ownership.
